Dashboard and Workbench
When to use the Dashboard and the offline-capable Workbench.
| Capability | Dashboard | Workbench |
|---|---|---|
| Connection | Online required | Prepared capture and cached views work offline |
| Primary users | Administrators and operations users | Field Agent Roles |
| Configuration | Full permission-gated configuration | Not available |
| Capture | Full online forms | Supported Customer, Account, Loan, Fixed Deposit, and Transaction capture |
| Approval/workflow | Maker-checker and operational workflow actions | Submitted work is completed later in Dashboard |
| Local data | Stored on the server | Drafts and prepared reference information stored securely on the device |
| Processing/oversight | COB, reports, integrations, Activity Logs | Sync health and cached field reference |
A Role marked Field Agent Role opens Workbench. Turning on Dashboard Access gives that Agent Role both surfaces; it does not turn off Workbench. A non-Agent Role cannot be granted Workbench merely through entity permissions.
Choose Workbench for field capture where connectivity may be unavailable. Choose Dashboard for setup, approval, workflow progression, Contract servicing, COB, reporting, and audit. A Workbench submission is revalidated on the server and enters the same controlled lifecycle as work created in Dashboard.
Before field use, complete Before enabling Workbench.
