Approval model by entity

Which entities shown in Roles & Permissions use maker-checker and which take effect without approval.

The Roles & Permissions screen identifies each entity's approval model. Use this page as a quick reference for the names currently shown in that screen.

  • Maker-checker means an allowed Create, Update, Delete, or other supported action can require zero to three approvals. The resulting record or change follows its staged approval status lifecycle.
  • No approval required means the change takes effect immediately after its permission and business validations pass. Approval settings are disabled.

The action columns can still differ by entity. An approval model does not mean that every entity supports every action.
