Open and manage accounts and facilities
How to open accounts and manage related facilities.
Accounts hold Customer or internal ledger balances. Facilities define an approved amount that one or more Customer Accounts may utilize. Both are maker-checker entities and have a separate operational status after authorization.
Access required
Use the relevant Create, Read, Update, Delete, and Export Account or Facility permissions. Account signatories, mandate instructions, Facility Accounts, and collateral support have their own entity permissions. Data-access scope is applied to the owning Customer, Branch, and record.
Open an Account
- Open Operations → Customer Relationship → Accounts.
- Select Create Account.
- Choose the Company when shown, owner type and owner, ledger Product, currency, Branch, and configured Account Status.
- Complete the classification, Account Condition, dates, relation officer or Agent, and contact information that applies.
- Save a Draft or save and submit it.
A Customer Account must use a Customer-facing Product. Product, currency, Branch, Account Condition, and Account Status references are validated by the server. Submission follows the configured L3 → L2 → L1 maker-checker sequence.
After authorization, Change Account Status applies an operational status such as Active or a configured blocking state. This is different from the Account's maker-checker record status. Change Account Name uses the audited name-change action instead of editing the Account number or ownership.
Use the Account detail
The detail page brings together balances and limits, classification and dates, Account Condition, statement configuration, signatories, mandates, linked Facilities, and other operational relationships. Statement downloads require the applicable statement/export access and date range.
Changing an Authorized Account's amendable setup creates an Amendment when the Update permission requires approval. Operational status actions take effect through their dedicated command.
Create a Facility
- Open Operations → Customer Relationship → Facilities.
- Select Create Facility.
- Select the Customer and Authorized Facility Class.
- Enter the description, currency, approved and advised amounts, expiry and review settings, revolving-limit behaviour, and availability marker.
- Save or submit the Facility for authorization.
An Authorized Facility can be changed between operational statuses such as Active, Suspended, Expired, or Cancelled with Update Facility. Those states control whether it can support further utilization.
Link Accounts and security
On the Facility detail, the Accounts section allocates Facility capacity to eligible Customer Accounts and can record per-Account overrides. The Collateral Support section shows the Pledges and Allocations supporting the Facility. Each action requires its own Facility Account, Pledge, or Allocation permission; access to the parent page alone is not authority to change a child record.
Loan origination may create and manage an application-owned Facility through its workflow. Do not create a second manual Facility for that Application unless the institution's process explicitly calls for one.
