Progress a fixed-deposit application
How to assign, review, and advance an application.
Fixed Deposit Applications use two distinct control layers: maker-checker authorizes the record, then the Product's workflow controls operational work.
Access required
- Update Fixed Deposit Application maintains a Draft and captures workflow Requirements.
- Assign Fixed Deposit Application assigns, self-assigns, or accepts a stage assignment.
- Process Workflow reviews and advances a stage and performs ordinary workflow actions.
- Waive Fixed Deposit Application records a permitted Requirement or Eligibility exception.
The current stage, assignment, configured actions, and record state must also permit the operation.
Authorize the Application record
Open Operations → Fixed Deposits → Applications, then open the Application. Submit a Captured record and complete its L3 → L2 → L1 authorization path as configured. Maker-checker separation prevents an ineligible maker or earlier approver from performing a later decision.
Work the current stage
Open the Workflow tab to see the current stage, Requirements, Assignments, Reviews, and available transitions.
Claim or accept the work
Use Assign Stage to route the stage to a user, Role, Department or Unit, or Branch. Use Self Assign when the stage is eligible to be claimed. A routed assignment is not owned until an eligible user selects Accept Assignment. Requirement capture, review, decisioning, and stage progression remain blocked until the current user has accepted the stage work.
Complete Requirements
Capture every applicable Requirement. A Blocking Requirement must be captured and, when configured, Verified before progression. A permitted waiver requires Waive Fixed Deposit Application and a reason. Advisory Requirements remain visible but do not block the transition by themselves.
Record the Review
Select Review Stage when the current stage permits or requires it. The decisions are Approved, Rejected, Returned, and Waived. A Review records the decision but does not move the Application.
- Required Review blocks progression until a current Review exists.
- Independent Actor Required prevents the reviewer from also advancing the stage, except for the L0 platform override.
- After a non-waiver Review, only a transition with the matching Review Outcome is offered.
Advance the stage
Select Advance Stage, choose an Authorized transition, review its target stage and outcome, then confirm. A backward path must be configured with Allow Return. Leaving the stage completes its active Assignments. The next stage then creates or accepts its own work.
The Application status is controlled by the configured workflow actions and transition Business Outcome, not by the stage name alone. An ordinary move can keep it In Review, an approval action can make it Approved, and a terminal path can Reject or Close it.
Workflow commands
Commands such as Evaluate Eligibility, Generate Rate Quote, Approve Terms, Send Offer, Reject Application, Close Application, and Book Fixed Deposit appear only when the current Authorized stage configures the corresponding action and the user has accepted the work.
See Rate quote, terms, and offer for the decisioning sequence.
