Authorize and book a loan

How an approved Loan Application becomes an Authorized Loan Contract.

Booking converts an approved Loan Application into a Loan Contract, creates its loan Account and facility linkage, and generates the first repayment schedule. It does not disburse funds.

Access required

You need Process Workflow for Loan Applications, an accepted assignment for the current stage, and data-access scope over the application.

The booking request also requires:

  • Create Facility and Update Facility;
  • Create Account and Update Account;
  • Create Facility Account.

The application must be Authorized and the current workflow stage must expose Book Loan Contract. Workflow action conditions can impose further limits even when all permissions are present.

Before booking

Confirm the following on the Loan Application:

  • Record status is Authorized and Application status is Approved;
  • the workflow is active, the current assignment is accepted, and blocking requirements are captured, Verified, or validly Waived;
  • approved amount, start date, tenure, and repayment frequency are present;
  • the Customer, Loan Product, and its customer-facing Asset Product remain active and Authorized;
  • required disbursement and repayment Accounts are not deleted, Authorized, owned by the borrower, and use the application currency;
  • the application's current eligibility result is Pass or validly Waived, when an Eligibility Policy is configured;
  • a current pricing snapshot exists for the approved amount, when a Pricing Policy is configured;
  • the workflow stage contains the actions needed to book the contract, create the loan Account, and generate the repayment schedule;
  • required Guarantee reservations or Collateral allocations have been completed.

Use Before originating the first loan for configuration readiness rather than treating a booking error as a reason to create missing production configuration ad hoc.

Reach the booking stage

Maker-checker authorization makes the Loan Application record Authorized; it does not make the lending decision Approved.

Complete the configured workflow reviews, requirements, eligibility, pricing, terms, and stage transitions. When the application enters a stage containing Book Loan Contract, its Application status becomes Approved and Book Contract appears as the primary action for an eligible assignee.

Book the contract

  1. Open Loans → Loan Applications and select the Approved application.
  2. Select Book Contract.
  3. Review the requested amount, approved amount, start date, tenure, and repayment frequency under Booking Readiness.
  4. Confirm that Booking Amount matches the approved amount. Change approved terms through Approve Terms, not in the booking step.
  5. If the resolved Account Condition Policy uses Manual Approved Override, enter the Approved Override Rate.
  6. Select the Authorized Facility Class, enter the Facility Description, and select an expiry date on or after the loan start date. Existing application collateral setup is loaded into these fields where available.
  7. Select the Loan Account Branch. If it is left empty, remoteEaze uses the disbursement Account's branch; without either value, booking is rejected.
  8. Select Book Loan Contract.

The Facility Class must be eligible for the Loan Product's customer-facing Product. The resolved default Account Condition Policy supplies the interest controls and repayment-policy linkage used at booking.

For Branch- or Self-scoped users, the Branch selector shows only accessible Branches. The backend checks the resolved Branch again, including when it comes from the disbursement Account. Walking into or serving a Customer from another Branch does not expand the acting user's data-access scope.

What booking creates

Booking is atomic. If any required validation or record creation fails, the contract is not partly booked.

On success, remoteEaze:

  • finalizes and authorizes the loan-owned Facility;
  • creates and authorizes the customer loan Account in the selected branch;
  • initializes the Account's financial position;
  • links the Account to the Facility for the approved amount;
  • creates an Authorized Loan Contract with status Booked;
  • stores the effective interest rate and pricing evidence;
  • generates repayment-schedule version 1 with status Active;
  • attaches the application's Guarantees to the Loan Contract;
  • completes the current assignment and Loan workflow;
  • changes the Loan Application status to Closed.

The booked amount comes from the approved terms. The schedule uses the approved start date, tenure, frequency, product repayment configuration, interest rate, and active Group meeting schedule where meeting harmonization is enabled.

After booking, open the contract under Loans → Loan Contracts. Continue with Contracts, disbursement, and schedules.
