Start a loan application

How to capture a new loan application.

Starting a Loan Application records the borrower's request, assigns a generated application reference, and initializes the workflow configured on the selected Loan Product.

Access required

You need Create Loan Application and data-access scope over the selected borrower and any requested customer Accounts. The saved application requires Read Loan Application to open it again.

L0 users who can operate across companies also select the Company. Tenant users create within their own company.

Before you begin

Complete Before originating the first loan. The borrower must be active and Authorized, and the selected Authorized Loan Product must have an Authorized Loan workflow with an initial stage.

Create the application

  1. Open Loans → Loan Applications.
  2. Select Create Loan Application.
  3. At L0, select the Company.
  4. On General, select the Loan Product and Borrower.
  5. For a Group borrower, optionally select the Member Customer whose contribution or guarantee position applies.
  6. Optionally select the Loan Purpose.
  7. On Details, enter the Requested Amount and select the Currency.
  8. Complete the optional requested start date, tenure, and repayment frequency.
  9. For a Group loan, optionally select an active Group Meeting Schedule and enable Harmonize With Group Meetings.
  10. Select the optional Requested Disbursement Account and Preferred Repayment Account where applicable.
  11. Select Save as Draft or Save & Submit.

How the selections work

Product and borrower

The Loan Product list contains Authorized Loan Products. The selected product controls the workflow and the repayment frequencies offered by the form. remoteEaze revalidates that its workflow is Authorized, belongs to the Loan owner type, and has an initial stage before creating the application.

The Borrower must be an active, Authorized Customer within the user's data scope. Selecting another borrower clears dependent Group, meeting, and Account choices.

Group borrower context

When the Borrower is a Group, remoteEaze uses that same Customer as the Group borrower. Member Customer is optional and contains only active members of that Group. Select one when eligibility, contribution, or guarantee processing must use a particular member's position.

Group Meeting Schedule contains the Group's active schedules. When Harmonize With Group Meetings is enabled, repayment dates are derived from the selected meeting schedule instead of simple frequency intervals.

Requested terms

  • Requested Amount is required and must be greater than zero.
  • Currency is required and must be enabled for the company.
  • Requested Start Date is the applicant's preferred start date; it is not the final approved date.
  • Tenure is the requested number of repayment periods. Leave it empty when the product or approval workflow will set the final tenure.
  • Repayment Frequency is the requested installment rhythm. When the Loan Product restricts allowed frequencies, only those choices are shown.

The approved amount, date, and contractual terms are recorded later in the workflow; they are not set by this form.

Requested customer Accounts

The requested disbursement and preferred repayment Accounts are optional at capture unless later product or booking rules require them. Each selection must belong to the borrower, or to the Group for a Group loan, be within the user's scope, use the application currency, and have an Authorized record status. remoteEaze enforces those rules again before contract booking.

Save or submit

Save as Draft creates a Captured Loan Application with Application status Draft. The generated reference and initial workflow stage are recorded, but operational workflow controls are unavailable until the record is Authorized.

Save & Submit creates the application and immediately starts its maker-checker path. It either moves to the first required approval level, starting at L3 when three levels are required, or becomes Authorized when no approval level is required. The Application status becomes In Review.

If submission fails after the Draft was created, remoteEaze keeps the Draft so that it can be opened, corrected, and submitted again.
