Contracts, disbursement, and schedules
How to disburse a booked Loan Contract, record repayments, and read its schedule.
A booked Loan Contract contains the approved lending terms, customer loan Account, Facility linkage, and active repayment schedule. Disbursement is a separate financial action: booking does not move money to the customer.
Access required
You need Read Loan Contract and data-access scope over the contract to open it under Loans → Loan Contracts.
- Update Loan Contract exposes Disburse when the contract is eligible.
- Update Loan Contract also exposes Invoke on eligible contribution-backed guarantees under Security.
- Create Transaction exposes Record Repayment when the required Accounts are available and the effective contract status permits repayment.
- Export Loan Contract Schedule exposes the PDF and Excel schedule downloads.
These permissions do not override contract state, financial validation, or data-access scope.
Review the contract
Select a contract and use its tabs:
- Contract Details shows the borrower, product, amounts, dates, Accounts, Facility, and interest-rate evidence;
- Schedule shows the active repayment schedule and its payment progress;
- Servicing & Variations shows the effective servicing state, arrears, and controlled contract changes;
- Security shows Guarantees, their held and invoked amounts, pledged Accounts, invocation actions, and Collateral allocations;
- Provisioning shows COB-generated provision results;
- Admin shows record and audit metadata.
The displayed effective status can temporarily be Disbursement Pending or Disbursement Failed based on the latest posting attempt, even while the stored contract status remains Booked.
Disburse a booked contract
Disburse is available only when the Loan Contract is Authorized and Booked, has its loan Account and Facility, has no non-terminal scheduled disbursement, and has no pending or processed disbursement attempt that blocks another one. The backend also requires an active repayment schedule and a disbursement Account.
- Open Loans → Loan Contracts and select the contract.
- Select Disburse.
- Confirm the read-only Transaction Code inherited from the Loan Product.
- Select a Posting Date on or after both the current working day and the contract start date.
- Confirm the read-only full booked amount and enter an optional narrative.
- Select Disburse Loan Contract.
remoteEaze currently supports full contract disbursement only. The amount and Transaction Code cannot be overridden in this dialog, and the API independently rejects a different value.
If the Posting Date is the current working day, an Authorized loan-disbursement Transaction is created and queued for posting. A future Posting Date creates an Authorized, Scheduled Forward-Dated Transaction instead. The forward-dated instruction uses roll-forward working-day handling.
The contract page shows the Transaction or scheduled instruction and its status. A successful immediate posting activates the financial exposure; a future instruction remains scheduled until its execution date.
Read the repayment schedule
Open Schedule to review each installment's:
- due date and status;
- expected and paid principal;
- expected and paid interest, charges, and penalties;
- past-due amounts and days in arrears.
Use Breakdown to expand component totals. With Export Loan Contract Schedule, select PDF or Excel to download the active schedule.
The Servicing & Variations tab also shows the current schedule version and arrears summary. A later variation can create and activate another schedule version without rewriting the earlier version.
Invoke a guarantee
On Security, select Invoke beside an eligible contribution-backed guarantee. The dialog shows the guarantor, pledged Group Account, current hold, and maximum amount that can be invoked. An immediate invocation debits the pledged Account and credits the loan Account; a future Posting Date creates a scheduled instruction. The Loan Product's repayment Transaction Code is used automatically.
The hold already reduced the pledged Account's available balance, so invocation reduces only its cleared balance. A partial invocation leaves the remaining amount held. When repayment servicing closes the loan, remoteEaze releases any unused guarantee holds automatically. See Collateral and guarantees for the complete balance lifecycle.
Record a repayment
When Record Repayment is available, selecting it opens transaction creation with the repayment Account, loan Account, Loan Product repayment Transaction Code, narrative, and current past-due amount prefilled where available.
Review the generated transaction carefully before submitting it. The ordinary Transaction permission, scope, validation, and authorization rules still apply. See Create and submit a transaction and Review, authorize, and understand transaction scope.
Monitor servicing and provisioning
Servicing processes update schedule payments, arrears, classification, and contract outcomes. The Provisioning tab is read-only operational evidence: it shows results generated through COB, including the classification, exposure, required provision, prior provision, delta, rate, and resulting posting references.
Continue with Loan variations for controlled post-disbursement changes.
