Build, preview, run, and download reports
How to create and run quality-controlled reports.
Reports provides curated system reports and a dynamic builder, plus queued run history and downloadable artifacts.
Curated reports start from a system-owned definition for a known business purpose. Dynamic reports start from a selectable dataset and let the user choose fields, filters, grouping, summaries, and sorting. A saved Definition stores that reusable configuration. A Run freezes the configuration and produces the artifact.
Access required
- Read Report Definition opens the Builder and saved definitions.
- Create/Update/Delete Report Definition maintains reusable dynamic definitions.
- Read Report Run opens run history and downloads completed artifacts.
- Create Report Run runs previews and creates report executions.
Build and preview
- Open Processing & Monitoring → Reports → Builder.
- Choose Curated for a system report or Dynamic for a report source you configure.
- Select the Company in system scope and choose the dataset.
- Enter the relevant business/as-of date or reporting period and Branches.
- For a dynamic report, select fields, grouping, summaries, filters, sorting, and whether eligible internal GL Accounts are included.
- Select Preview to inspect rows, columns, counts, basis, and quality controls without creating the final artifact.
- Choose the output format and select Run Report.
Dynamic configurations may be saved as private or shared Definitions when the user has the required Definition permission. Curated system definitions are selected, not overwritten.
Available report datasets
The selectable dynamic datasets are:

| Loan Contracts | Loan balances, status, classification, provisioning, and contract context. |
Period GL Balances supports the system-owned Period Trial Balance but is not a standalone user-selectable dynamic dataset.
The curated catalogue includes Daily Trial Balance, Period Trial Balance, Transaction Register, Journal Posting Lines, GL Balance Movement, Reversal and Adjustment Register, Loan Book, Classification and Provisioning Report, Account and Deposit Balance Report, and Customer Register.
Configure a dynamic report
- Fields become the output columns.
- Filters limit the rows before output.
- Grouping collects rows by selected values.
- Summaries calculate supported counts, totals, or other dataset measures.
- Sorting controls output order after filtering and grouping.
- Private saved Definitions are available to their owner. Shared Definitions are available to permitted users in the company.
Department and Cost Centre filters describe record ownership where the dataset supports them. Actor Department and Actor Cost Centre describe the user who performed an Activity Event. Posting Cost Centre describes the Cost Centre frozen on a Transaction batch. These are different dimensions and should not be combined as if they were the same field.
Date and snapshot basis
Read the Preview basis before running a financial report. Trial Balance and Account balance reports use completed COB snapshots for the selected date or period. Transaction and Activity Event datasets use their configured event or posting dates. The quality summary states missing, stale, or inconsistent source conditions that affect the result.
Run history
Use Run History to track Queued, Running, Completed, and Failed executions. Open a run to inspect its frozen input, resolved report basis, dates, fields, filters, quality summary, counts, and error. Download is available after the artifact completes.
The artifact belongs to that immutable Run. Rerun the report when dates, filters, permissions, or underlying completed snapshots change.
