Capture loan applications in Workbench

How to capture and queue loan applications offline.

Workbench captures a Loan Application for later processing in the normal Loan workflow. It also caches scoped Loan Applications and Contracts for offline reference.

Capture a Loan Application

You need Create Loan Application and a prepared Loan reference package.

  1. Open Loans and select New Loan Application.
  2. Select the Authorized Loan Product and active Authorized Borrower.
  3. For a Group borrower, select the applicable member and meeting schedule when required, and choose whether repayments harmonize with meetings.
  4. Enter requested amount, currency, start date, tenure, and repayment frequency.
  5. Select optional requested disbursement and repayment Accounts from the prepared eligible Accounts.
  6. Select Submit.

The local form uses the Product constraints in the prepared package. Sync then revalidates the current Product, workflow, Customer, Accounts, permissions, and scope on the server. The result is a Loan Application, not a Contract, and must still be authorized, assigned, evaluated, priced, approved, and booked in Dashboard.

The Applications, Contracts, and Drafts tabs separate cached server records from editable local work. Cached detail is the last confirmed server snapshot and may not reflect changes made after the last preparation run.
