ID sequences

How to inspect and maintain the tenant's pre-configured generated identifiers.

remoteEaze uses tenant-specific sequences to generate customer, account, transaction, and other business references. Standard sequences are created automatically when the license is provisioned.

Access

In tenant scope, open Foundation → ID Sequences. The page is titled Pre-Configured ID Sequences.

  • Read Sequence shows the list and sequence details.
  • Update Sequence shows Edit and is required to save a change.

This page is not shown as a tenant page in system scope. An L0 administrator can inspect and maintain a tenant's sequences from the selected license detail.

Sequences do not use maker-checker, and the tenant page does not provide a create action.

Understand a sequence

Each row shows the display name, internal key, prefix, pad length, whether the year is included, whether numbering resets yearly, and the current counter.

The generated reference combines these settings. For example, increasing the pad length adds leading zeroes to future values. Include Year adds the year to the format, while Reset Yearly restarts the counter for a new year.

Edit a sequence

  1. Select Edit for the sequence.
  2. In Edit ID Sequence, update the description or permitted format values.
  3. Review Live Preview.
  4. Select Save Changes.

After a sequence has generated at least one value, its prefix is locked and its pad length can only be increased. These protections prevent future IDs from colliding with, or becoming ambiguous beside, existing references.

The preview demonstrates the format; it is not a reservation of the next identifier. The actual value is allocated only when the related business operation requests it.
