Create and manage licenses

How an L0 administrator provisions a tenant and maintains its contract and configuration.

Creating a license provisions a new tenant and its initial operating foundations. It is an L0 platform action, not a tenant-administration task.

Access

Open Foundation → Licenses. The list and Create License action are available at L0. Viewing a license requires Read License. Downloading its PDF requires Export License.

The license detail separates two kinds of change:

  • Contract controls the expiry date, licensed modules, and whether the license is active. Edit is shown only with Update Contract License.
  • Configuration controls company, financial, contact, branding, password, session, and working-hours settings. Edit is shown only with Update Config License.

Create a license

  1. Select Create License.
  2. Complete the Company tab.
  3. Complete the License tab.
  4. Complete the Security tab.
  5. Review the summary, select Create License, and confirm the operation.

Company

Enter the company name, address, company contact details, and primary contact person. Then select the head-office country, base currency, and tenant timezone.

The country is used when creating the head-office branch. The base currency becomes the tenant's accounting currency. The timezone is used for license expiry evaluation and tenant-local date and time behavior, so choose the organization's operating timezone rather than the administrator's current location.

License

  • License Expiry Date must be in the future. The license remains valid through the end of that date in the tenant timezone.
  • Licensed Modules currently includes Core System, which supplies the core application features.
  • Financial Year-End Month sets the organization's accounting year end.
  • Accounting Type currently supports Accrual. Cash is shown but is not selectable.

Security

Define the minimum password length and required counts for numbers, uppercase letters, lowercase letters, and special characters. The minimum length must be large enough to contain the combined character requirements.

Also set:

  • Password Change Interval in days; 0 means passwords do not expire by age;
  • Inactivity Timeout in seconds;
  • Working Hours Grace Period in minutes; 0 applies the boundary immediately and the maximum is 60 minutes.

What creation provisions

License creation is one atomic operation. remoteEaze creates these foundations for the new company.

Company and access foundations

  • the Tenant and its base-currency catalogue;
  • the head-office Branch;
  • a Tenant Administrator Role and permission matrix;
  • a Workbench Demo Role, marked as a field-agent Role and initially restricted from the Dashboard.

Reference data

  • Titles, Genders, and Marital Statuses;
  • Customer Types and Customer Ratings;
  • Account and Loan Classification statuses;
  • Identity Types and Document Types;
  • Collateral Types and their document requirements;
  • Sources of Funds;
  • Contribution Buckets and Contribution Types.

Financial and control foundations

  • Authorized Transaction Codes used by the provisioned foundation;
  • system-managed chart-of-accounts boundaries;
  • standard ID Sequences;
  • initial Activity Log events for the provisioning operation.

If any provisioning step fails, none of these records are retained.

The operation does not create the first user, a complete Business Calendar, operational internal GL Accounts, final Products, workflows, or business policies. Invite the first user separately, assign the appropriate Role and Branch, then complete the company's operating configuration.

Manage an existing license

Open a license from the list. Use Edit in Contract or Configuration according to the type of change. The detail page also shows the tenant's standard sequences.

Deactivating or allowing a license to expire prevents normal tenant use, so coordinate the change before saving it. Tenant administrators maintain the same organization-level configuration through Organization Settings.

Next, configure the business calendar, organization structure, and users and roles required by the tenant.
